One of the great privileges of working at Re-engage is being able to celebrate you, the brilliant volunteers who make phone calls, arrange and host tea parties, or run activity groups. Earlier this month, we revealed the winners of our 2024 volunteer awards. We came together in an online ceremony and heard volunteers explain why they give their time to support older people who are lonely or isolated. Listening to their personal stories was inspiring, joyful and moving.
This month we’ve marked Volunteers’ Week and Loneliness Awareness Week too, when we raised awareness of how you help reduce loneliness or isolation for older people. The summer issue of Time Together is in production and will be winging its way to older people you support at the end of June; an online version of the magazine will be available to view on our website.
Thank you as always for all you do. If you'd like to get in touch with comments, questions or information, please email us at knowledge@reengage.org.uk
With very best wishes,

It’s time to meet the volunteers who were crowned in our 2024 volunteer awards. Every Re-engage volunteer brings something very special to the older people who use our services and this year, we’re delighted to celebrate the contributions of the five Re-engage volunteers who received the most nominations in this year's awards.
If you’re handling food and drinks as part of your volunteering role, it’s important to be aware of guidance around food preparation and provision, and adhere to the rules to keep everyone safe.
We ask older people what Re-engage means to them. Each month, we’ll share some feedback so you can see the impact your time, energy, and generosity have on older people’s lives all year round.
