Welcome to the March issue of Re-engage Matters, our monthly update for all volunteers. I hope you’ve had some fine spring weather wherever you are – doesn't it make a difference as the days slowly get longer? By now, hopefully you’ve received our annual survey, which is a great opportunity for you to tell us all about your experience of volunteering with us. The insight we gain from consulting you, the older people who use our services, and the referrer community who introduce people to us every year, is so valuable in helping us improve what we do; thank you for completing the short survey before 4 April.
As this is our 60th year, we’re looking for volunteers to help us celebrate in style by organising events for older people in your area – find out more below. We’re also excited to give you a first look at our commemorative logo which we’ll use for the next 12 months to proudly represent Re-engage in our diamond anniversary year.
As always, if you'd like to get in touch to share your experiences, please email us at knowledge@reengage.org.uk With very best wishes,
Emily Mangroves
Head of Service Delivery and Volunteering We want to hear from you!Our annual surveys should have appeared in your inbox earlier this month. If you haven’t seen yours yet, please check your spam and junk folders. Thank you to everyone who’s already completed their survey - your feedback is crucial in helping us improve and provide the best possible services. The deadline to share your feedback with us is 4 April. Cheers to 60 years!Plans to mark our 60th anniversary are now well underway, but we still need the expertise and knowledge of our group coordinators to make the celebrations unforgettable for all our older people and volunteers. The catering and venue for these special events will be funded by Re-engage - if you think you can help, we'd love to hear from you. New 60th logo is go-go!To mark our special diamond anniversary, we’ve commissioned a commemorative version of our logo which you’ll see popping up all over our emails, socials and merchandise from April 2025 (60 years to the month since our first tea party was held) through to the end of March 2026. We hope you like it! Fundraising for your groupHere’s a quick reminder about group funds and how our finance team can help you:
We do not take an admin fee from your fundraised income – 100% goes to your group funds. Our teams can help with applying for local community or business grants. Please let us know about any upcoming applications, so we can support you, and avoid any duplication. You can contact the team at any time for information or support: finance@reengage.org.uk Our financial year end As we’re at the end of another financial year at Re-engage, now is the perfect time for you to make sure we’ve reimbursed you for all your group related expenses for the year - please send us your claims as soon as you can. We pay expenses on or around the 15th and on the last working day of the month. The quickest way to send us your claims is via the online form. Meet the teamWe'd like to introduce you to our Research 100 students, who are helping us understand the issues affecting older people, carry out research into key areas of interest, and provide data and findings to help explain what we’ve discovered. This work helps us continue to improve the services we offer and be a part of the wider conversation around older people. Thank youWe ask tea party guests, activity group participants and call companion connections what Re-engage means to them. Each month, we share some feedback so you can see the impact your time, energy, and generosity have on older people’s lives all year round. |
